Michel Dioubate
I’m a compassionate and board-certified Family Physician with over 10 years of experience in primary care. My educational background includes an M.D. from the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine and a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPHTM) from Tulane University, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of both clinical practice and community health. I also completed Internship and Residency at Louisiana State University (LSU)
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to serving diverse patient populations from my time working in Bong County, Liberia to work across various settings in Louisiana and beyond. My work experience spans value-based primary care in suburban and inner-city clinics as well as providing care to veterans at VA Medical Centers and working within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). I've also contributed to the Veterans Administration in roles that included women's health provision, HIV/Hepatitis C coordination, and clinic leadership.
Beyond direct patient care, I have engaged in academic instruction as an Assistant Professor, teaching microbiology, anatomy, and physiology, and have contributed to medical research, including studies on public health issues like smoking and hypertension. Outside of medicine, I am an avid reader and writer, having authored and published a collection of stories titled "Laughter of a Crazy Man." This creative pursuit complements my professional dedication, reflecting a holistic approach to life and continuous learning.
I spend my formative years working as a doctor in rural Liberia and it had an indelible mark on my life and memory. I truly believe that health care can impact and make the world a better place.
